What is SEA Games?

The South-East Asian Games, generally known as the SEA Games (SEAG), are a biannual multi-sport event held in South-East Asia. The South-East Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) governs the games, which are overseen by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).

The SEA Games is one of the five sub-regional Games of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The Central Asian Games, East Asian Youth Games, South Asian Games, and West Asian Games are the others.

Who is the host country for SEA Games 2023?

Cambodia will host the SEA Games 2023. It will take place from Friday, May 5 until Wednesday, May 17. This would be the country’s first time hosting the SEA Games. This would be the first time the country hosts the SEA Games in its history. The organizing committee has confirmed that sporting events will take place in a number of Cambodia cities, including the capital Phnom Penh as the main hub, as well as the provinces of Sihanoukville, Siem Reap, Kep, and Kampot.

How many countries will participate?

The 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia will involve participants from 11 Southeast Asian countries. It will feature 37 sports and 608 events. The athletes will compete for gold, new records, and the honour of representing their country. While athletes of all ages are welcome to compete in the games, they are especially significant and fascinating for young athletes.
