Page 2Equipping cookie characters in Cookie Run: Kingdom is not enough. Players will also need to upgrade their abilities by using a variety of toppings that the game offers. Every cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom can take on five different toppings. A new topping slot will be made available at every fifth level once players cross Level 15 (up to a maximum of Level 30).
There are ten types of toppings in Cookie Run: Kingdom:
Swift Chocolate, Searing Raspberry, and Solid Almond are the best toppings for cookies in Cookie Run: KingdomPlayers can use topping pieces and coins to upgrade them. Every topping has three levels, XS, S, and M. These are the best toppings in Cookie Run: Kingdom: 1) Swift ChocolateSwift Chocolate topping (Image via HyRoolLegend; YouTube)This topping decreases the cookie’s cooldown time by 0.4% at the first level and 1.8% at the final level. If players are equipped with five toppings, their cooldown reduces by 5%. These toppings are best suited for Bomber cookies, Charge cookies, Defense cookies, and more. 2) Searing RaspberrySearing Raspberry topping (Image via HyRoolLegend; YouTube)Searing Raspberry increases the ATK of the cookie. At the initial level, it boosts ATK by 1%, and the same increases to 3% at the third level. This Cookie Run: Kingdom topping is best suited for Ambush cookies, Healing cookies, Magic cookies, Ranged cookies, and more. 3) Solid AlmondSolid Almond topping (Image via HyRoolLegend; YouTube)This Cookie Run: Kingdom topping helps with damage resistance and is best for Charge cookies and Defense cookies. It increases the DMG Resist of the cookies by 1% at the base level and 1.7% at the maximum level. Equipping five increases DMG Resist by 5%. The following is a list of multiple status effects and the information about them: Stat Buffs/DebuffsHP UpUsers with HP Up will have their maximum HP stat increased by a certain percentage, enabling the user to absorb more damage and survive longer. Chapter 11 & 12 give a notable passive buff of +100% HP. InjuryTargets with Injury will have their maximum HP stat decreased by a certain percentage, affecting their ability to absorb more damage. It is technically another instance of True damage since it is not affected by DEF/Damage Resist stats. It is also currently one of the only basic debuffs that Cannot be Purified.
ATK Up/DownUsers or targets with ATK Up/Down will have their ATK stat increased/decreased by a certain amount. This will boost or hinder their overall damage. DEF Up/DownUsers or targets with DEF Up/Down will have their DEF stat increased/decreased by a certain amount. This will enable them to be more resistant or susceptible to damage (except True Damage, which ignores these effects). CRIT% UpUsers with CRIT% Up will have their Critical Strike Chance stat increased by a certain amount. It effectively boosts the chance of landing a Critical Strike (mostly known as a Critical Hit). CRIT% is capped at 70% from toppings, and can be boosted to 100% from buffs. CRIT DMG UpUsers with CRIT DMG Up will have their Critical Strike Damage stat increased by a certain amount. Damage from a Critical Strike will be increased even more (from the usual 50%).
ATK SPD Up/DownUsers or targets with ATK SPD Up/Down will have their Attack Speed stat increased/decreased by a certain amount. Typically used to increase DPS for the player team or decrease DPS for the opposing team. Mostly seen in Arena using ATK SPD Up teams.
DMG DownUsers with DMG Down will have their Damage Resistance stat increased by a certain amount, effectively reducing any damage they receive (has no effect against True Damage). Can be noted as "-% DMG" or "+% DMG Resist" from in-game descriptions. DMG Resist is capped at 85% and cannot be exceeded.
WeaknessTargets with Weakness have any damage they receive amplified by a certain percentage.
Debuff Resist UpUsers with Debuff Resist Up will have their Debuff Resistance stat increased by a certain amount. This reduces the duration and/or damage of certain debuffs (oddly, it does not reduce anything if the debuff was applied before). It is essentially a weaker version of the Immunity effect. Amplified DebuffTargets with "Amplified Debuffs" will have debuffs currently applied to them strengthened in effects.
MOV SPD DownTargets with MOV SPD Down will have their moving speed decreased by a certain amount.
Regular DMG UpIncreases the user's Regular Attack damage (has no effect on ATK stat). Mainly used for teams that have skills changing their regular attack completely, such as Madeleine Cookie, Pastry Cookie, and Lilac Cookie.
Healing DownReduces the amount of healing received for the target.
Amplify Buff UpIncreases the effect or duration of all buffs given to the user. Exclusive stat buff from Tropical Raids. Cooldown UpThe skill cooldown for the target(s) is increased by a given amount. Exclusive stat debuff from Cookie Alliance. Helpful EffectsInvulnerabilityUsers with invulnerability cannot have their health reduced by any normal means (such as direct damage). Any successfully negated damage will give a text indicator saying, "blocked". Invulnerable units are completely immune to interrupting effects and movement-impairing effects. TauntA shockwave is released and targets in radius are given the Taunted effect, and are forced to focus their attacks only on the user (does not affect skills).
PurifyThe user is cleansed of all debuffs and harmful effects. Will not affect statuses that Cannot be Purified. ImmunityUsers with immunity are completely resistant to all debuffs and harmful effects.
Stun ImmunityThe user cannot be Stunned.
Freeze ImmunityThe user cannot be Frozen. Frost Queen Cookie and certain enemies have immunity to Freeze as their passives.ShieldAny user with a shield will have their damage absorbed by a percentage of their maximum HP, or a specified amount of hits. Health shields can (in theory) stack indefinitely, but cannot be replenished if one were gained after the other. They're treated as separate bars, as the one that breaks will immediately be replaced by the other shield if not broken already. DMG FocusThe user absorbs a certain percent of damage their allies take, excluding indirect damage (such as periodic and linked damage).
DMG ReflectionThe user reflects a certain percent of damage back at the attacker. The current users have this effect as a passive, which is the Red Velvet Dragon and certain enemies from Cookie Alliance waves. Periodic HealingHeals a certain amount of HP over a given duration. Usually referred to as HoT or HPS. Harmful EffectsShockA shocked target has combined debuffs of MOV SPD Down and ATK SPD Down (reduced by an unlisted amount). Can be stacked, increasing its effects.
StunA stunned target cannot act (regular attacking, skill usage, moving) whatsoever until the duration ends. ShacklesA shackled target has the same effects as stun, but has chains crossing over their skill icon.
CharmA charmed target has the same effects as stun, but has hearts fluttering over their skill icon.
FreezeA target that is inflicted with frozen is turned into ice, having the same benefits as stun. There are additional effects: the opponent has their skill cooldown paused for a duration and damage is dealt afterward.
Damage over timeDeals a certain amount of damage over a given duration. PoisonIndicated with purple damage numbers and has a poisonous aesthetic on the target.
BurnIndicated with red damage numbers and has a burning aesthetic on the target.
CorruptionIndicated with gray damage numbers and has an obscuring aesthetic on the target. Unlike the other DoT debuffs, Corruption deals True damage, reducing a target's health based on 1.2% their Max HP. Certain enemies from Episode 13 will inflict this debuff. ZapHas an electricity aesthetic on the target, and combines with the Shields Blocked effect.
DispelThe target is dispelled of any buffs and helpful effects. Will not affect statuses that Cannot be Dispelled. Shields BlockedThe target cannot have shields applied to them. Certain enemies from Episode 13 will inflict this debuff. ImmobilizeDisables the movement of the target.
SilenceDisables the target's ability to use skills.
Damage LinkThe target will have this effect spread to 4 other targets maximum, and any single-hit damage to the target will also damage linked targets by a certain amount.
CurseDispels and blocks buffs from the target.
BlindnessThe target's attacking range is reduced and forces them to move to the Front position. Certain enemies from Episode 14 apply this debuff. FearForces the target to flee away from the Front position to the Rear position. They are also Silenced. The final boss from Episode 14 will apply this debuff. MarksMarks are "specialized" status effects that have requirements to benefit the user. Healing Rice CakeDefeated targets with Healing Rice Cake will have the user and their allies' HP restored by a certain amount.
Wrath of the CommanderEach ally defeated will give one stack of Wrath of the Commander to the user, combining both ATK Up and ATK SPD Up buffs. At the maximum of 4 stacks, the user becomes resistant to interrupting effects and movement-impairing effects.
Poison CurseIf the target with Poison Curse has it purified, it will explode and deal damage to nearby enemies.
Arrow MarkThe target with this mark will take true damage if the user comes in contact with them.
